Vets Bogey Brigade was founded on a simple belief: No veteran should have to navigate life alone. After military service, many veterans miss the camaraderie, purpose, and sense of belonging that came from serving alongside others. The transition back to civilian life can be challenging, and too many veterans find themselves feeling isolated, disconnected, or without a strong support network. We believe golf can help bridge that gap.
Golf provides something unique. It slows life down. It creates opportunities for conversation, friendship, mentorship, and connection. Whether it's a bucket of balls at the driving range, a casual round with friends, or a community event, the golf course becomes a place where veterans can relax, share stories, and support one another. Vets Bogey Brigade is more than a golf brand. It is a growing community built by veterans, for veterans. Through golf events, meet-and-greets, apparel, partnerships, and outreach, we aim to create opportunities for veterans and their families to come together and build lasting relationships. Every piece of merchandise we create represents our mission to strengthen the veteran community and promote positive mental health through fellowship and connection. Meet the Founders
James Johnson & Corey Gillard
Vets Bogey Brigade was founded by James Johnson and Corey Gillard, two disabled Army veterans from combat arms backgrounds who share a passion for golf, camaraderie, and supporting the veteran community.
Like many veterans, we experienced firsthand the challenges of transitioning from military service and the importance of maintaining strong connections with those who understand the unique experiences of military life. We recognized that many veterans miss the sense of brotherhood, purpose, and community that comes with serving alongside others.
Through our shared love of golf, we discovered that the course provides more than recreation. It creates opportunities for conversation, friendship, mentorship, and connection. Some of the best relationships are built between swings, on the driving range, and during a round with fellow veterans.
What started as a simple idea has grown into Vets Bogey Brigade—a veteran-owned organization dedicated to bringing veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and supporters together through golf and community.
